We are a new church (born
Jan 2006) and currently small
in number but large in anointing! We are
non-denominational, and pentecostal in flavour (in
how we worship). Our passion is to be like the
early church in the book of Acts, where they
preached with boldness, signs and wonders followed
the Word and numbers were added daily to the
Kingdom of God!
We always allow a time for ministry at the end of
the service, where we pray for the sick and also
for one another as we are led.
We
don't want anyone to come to RIVER out of
'religious duty', rather we have a vision to be:
a church that’s
enjoyed, not
endured.
a church whose goal is building up
individuals, not
numbers
a church built on strong relationships where
everyone is
valued.
a church like a bright light
manifesting the life
of Christ by impacting the community, reaching the
lost, hurt & broken & seeing them made
whole.
a church flowing like a river full of the
presence
& power of the
Holy Spirit.
a church full of believers that hunger & thirst
after
righteousness,
worship,
prayer &
revelation from
the
Word of God.
a church where every member is encouraged to
operate in
their
calling &
spiritual gifts to
empower & encourage one another in the work of
the ministry.
a church that is
run by a team of
anointed men, women & children & not by
individuals.
This means that we want to see lives transformed
and everyone knowing that they have an awesome
destiny, hope and future (no matter what their
age).
We are also big on making disciples, not dependents
so this means everyone is encouraged to do what the
Lord has called them to do and taught how to be led
by and flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. In
fact we don't just teach it, we make it a priority
in all our services to be led by the Spirit of God
in everything we do.
We also have a passion to teach the truth in the
Word of God so that we can all be fully trained and
equipped not only for every area of life but also
for outreach and ministry!
We are not into strict membership so anyone is free
to come and visit us as they wish or feel led. So
whether you would like to come and be a part of our
church family or visit us now and again - KNOW that
you are always welcome!
